Just 3 days before I dived into unplanned summer holiday, I found that my flight miles were enough to fly to London.
5 years have passed since I visited that lovely city in January 2020, when the UK was about to leave the EU and nobody knew the approaching the Pandemic at that time.
Personally, I was quite surprised that huge re-development are up and down London albeit London is a relatively ever-changing city in Europe.
5-year absence seems to be a little bit too long for street photography. I would like to come back again soon next time.
2025年の夏に、5年ぶりにロンドンを訪れた。前回は2020年1月で、それは英国がEUを離脱する月であり、その数ヶ月後にはパンデミックが世界中を覆うというタイミングだった。
今回のロンドン訪問で驚いたのは、あちらこちらで再開発が進行中だったことだ。ロンドンは他の欧州都市に比べれば変化が激しい都市だとは思うけれども、5年というのはいささか長すぎた。次回はもう少し短い間隔で訪れていきたいと思った。
